Description
Day 1: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and explore the city. Enjoy dinner at a restaurant featuring Mongolian national cuisine. Rest at the hotel.
Day 2: Ulaanbaatar to Ulgii, Western Mongolia. Travel from Ulaanbaatar to Ulgii city, Western Mongolia. Accommodation options include a hotel or Kazakh ger camp. Explore the cradle city and enjoy panoramic views from a high hill.
Day 3: National Festival Opening Ceremony. Attend the official opening ceremony of the National Festival of Mongolia. Witness the holiday opening, parade, and Mongolian national wrestling. Overnight stay in a hotel or Kazakh ger camp.
Day 4: Mongolian National Holiday. Visit the horse racetrack for a thrilling horse race. Jeep excursion 10 km from Ulgii to witness national wrestling. Attend the closing ceremony of the festival. Overnight in a hotel or Kazakh ger camp.
Day 5: Khoton Lake and Khurgan Lake. Journey to Khoton Lake and Khurgan Lake, special nature reserves. This Lakes is situated in the Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, near the border with China and Russia. Visit eagle hunter family, take photos with eagles. Jeep ride along the Khovd River and camp overnight.
Day 6: Exploration of Khoton and Khurgan Lakes. Explore the shores of Khurgan and Khoton Lakes, nature reserves. Khoton and Khurgan lake is known for its stunning scenery, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, lush greenery, and diverse wildlife. Relax by the lakeside. Overnight stay in a tent.
Day 7: Swim and Cultural Experience. Swim in the fresh waters of Khurgan Lake and Khoton Lake. Visit a Kazakh family to learn about their customs. Option to travel by horse or jeep.
Day 8: Baga Turgen Waterfall. Travel 13 km to Baga Turgen Waterfall by car or horse. Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Overnight in a Kazakh home or tent.
Day 9: Baga Turgen Waterfalls Exploration. Trek 3 km to see Baga Turgen waterfalls and capture photos. Explore beautiful natural areas and enjoy the surroundings. Overnight stay in a Kazakh home or tent.
Day 10: Return to Ulgii. Jeep journey from Baga Turgen Waterfall to Ulgii City (8-10 hours). Lunch on the shores of the Hovd River.
Day 11: Return to Ulaanbaatar. Travel from Ulgii to Ulaanbaatar.
